My name is Stephen Monk, and I am a certified hypnotherapist (CHt.), graphologist, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) and hypnosis trainer, and therapist.
I've researched and learned from many religions and am prone to high dream recall, which influenced me to study REM processes from all fields and sources.
Learning about the mind for over 30 years, I've studied whole Psychology sections in two different public libraries, including Sigmund Freud’s books and Carl Jung’s works.
I've also studied many REM-related books. Plus, being prone to dream recall, I experimented through experiences and studied NLP books, hypnosis books, and covert hypnosis books. My studies started back in the 1990s.
After decades of studying, learning, and practicing, I decided to be accredited, certified, and licenced. Then, I started to get my certifications and diplomas in 2008 and continued to do so over the years and in the present.
I am proud to be accredited in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnotherapy with the following:
I have also received certifications as a Hypnotist, Master Hypnotist, smoking cessation therapist, and Past Life Regression therapist. My diploma in Hypnotherapy included NLP Training, and I was certified as a registered Hypnotherapist.
Additionally, I have a diploma in Handwriting analysis and am certified as a registered Hypnotherapist from two other forms of Hypnosis training, which is separate from where I received my diploma, and a communication skills specialist.
Then through Dr. Richard Bandler’s Trainers, I received my licence to be an NLP Practitioner and eventually an NLP Master Practitioner.
Under the training of Michael Watson, I earned a certification in Neo Ericson Hypnosis.
Through Christina Hall, Ph.D., NLP Meta-Master Trainer, I completed NLP Trainers Training, and NLP Master Trainers Training, and got certified in The Paradoxical Nature of Change.
Present day, I continue to learn and pass knowledge on. I was used to high dream recall, but a temporary medicine pushed and reduced my REM time to zero dream recall. This experience sparked the first book I wrote, which I self-published in 2004. It was eventually published professionally in 2019.
A few months after my first book was released, the second book that was already submitted to my publisher in 2019 was paused by the publisher.
The second book was about REM processes, unconscious behaviour, conscious behaviour, and much more.
At that time and just before the pause, my REM processes were normal. The second book was sparked by watching the media report on how badly humans treat one another. Then, I added all the historical information I learned over the years into the puzzle.
The book was to help humans from all aspects of life realize themselves and others to attain improved outcomes.
The publisher paused the second book because I ended up in a coma from a semi-truck-on-semi-truck motor vehicle accident on the highway.
After weeks, I woke from the coma and eventually left the hospital. The publisher then lifted the pause on my second book, which got professionally published in January 2020.
In between my surgeries, I had the two books I wrote before the accident professionally published as well. One book was about using REM processes and human reflexes for advanced fatigue management, new skills, and helping drivers.
The other is a kid’s book involving REM processes replacing the fear of fearful dreams with play and curiosity and REM tools to prevent bedwetting.
After waking from a coma, I went back to zero dream recall as the years slipped by. Yes, the same reason the first book was written, but on a deeper level.
